"Eternity can be a curse. A man can run out of things to live for." Honestly, the first domestic trailer for The Wolverine from director James Mangold was a little underwhelming for this writer. The international trailer that was released around the same time did a much better job of painting this sequel in the right light, but still getting the story and action across. However, there are still worries that this film is cut from the same mold as the less than stellar X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Well, this new trailer hits some of the same beats as the first, but is edited and presented in a much better way with some solid new action. Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
